Hi everybody! Happy Labor Day weekend! For those of you who are unfamiliar with my byline—which is probably most of you, because I don't actually write that often—I'm Jen, the managing editor here at TV.com. I've been meaning to start posting updates like the one you're about to read for a while... and now, well, it's September. (When the hell did that happen?!)
Anyway, I'm basically planning to check in every once in a while to let you know what's going on behind the scenes at TV.com, editorially speaking—ideas we're working on, big stories to keep an eye out for, etc. I'm also hoping to get feedback directly from you, our very smart, very handsome readers: What do you want to see us do more of on the site? What recent stories have you enjoyed, and what recent stories have you (*gulp*) hated? What shows do you wish we would start reviewing? And so on and so forth, you get the idea.
So, as we head into the fall TV season, here are a few things I'd like you to know:
We are finally going to start reviewing Doctor Who.
I know that many of you are fans (hi, @IndianaMom!), so I'm pleased to announce that, beginning with tonight's Series 7 premiere on BBC America, we will be covering the the show on a weekly basis.
We are currently working on our fall coverage plans, so now's the time to speak up regarding what you'd like to see.
What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see less of? Speak up in the comments, and be sure to list the shows you're hoping to see reviewed on a weekly basis.
Price is pinch-hitting for Tim on Breaking Bad this weekend.
If you've read Tim's review of last Sunday's episode you may have already figured out why he won't be able to share his thoughts on the finale until later in the week, but if you haven't, please know that...
Congratulations are in order, because TIM IS GETTING MARRIED TODAY!
Posting is gonna be slow for a couple days, because not only is it a holiday weekend, but Tim is about to marry an awesome lady and half of the TV.com editorial team is attending the festivities. It's like this, basically:
I promise to update this post with photographic evidence if Tim will let me. In the meantime, please express happy thoughts for him in the comments!
Annnnnnd let's end on that joyful note. I can't wait to hear from you, and I'll talk to you again soon!
Jen
