What to watch on Wednesday, August 22...
What's up all you party people?! Are you ready to get jiggy with your Wednesday night programming? This intro would have been way more clever had Will Smith been a guest star on anything tonight, but as it stands now it's just a cheesy 90s throwback reference. I'm okay with that, though. Here is your television line-up for the night!
8pm, Fox
So You Think You Can Dance
Tonight's guest judge is Benjamin Millepied, the choreographer for Black Swan, so let's hope nobody takes it too far by going insane trying to impress him. Two dancers will be eliminated out of the ten that take the stage tonight, upping the stakes—and the pressure—for the remaining few. I am practically breaking out in hives for them. Oh, and also! The L.A. Dance project will perform. Fun times!
9pm, USA
Royal Pains
In "Who's Your Daddy," Hank cares for the owner of a polo-team who has been advised to stop participating in his favorite sport due to an illness, but refuses to do so. Divya, on the other hand, is reluctantly playing on a very different kind of field—the kind that involves romantical outings riddled with rules about awkward handshakes vs. hugs. In other words, she's dating. And speaking of dating, Evan is wigging out about meeting Paige's family. Big steps, all around!
SEASON PREMIERE, 10pm, Discovery
Dirty Jobs Down Under
People really seemed to like this show, even before they took it to Australia. So then they decided to take it to Australia, where show producers hoped people would like it even more. It's sort of true, everything is slightly more entertaining with an accent. But will digging through dirt be slightly more entertaining? We'll have to see. In "Lost in Aboriginal Land," Dirty Jobs staple Mike Rowe will take a stab at the less-than-pleasant side of working and hunting in the outback.

Necessary Roughness
In "Double Fault" Dani decides to help a number of tennis players who are struggling both on and off the court, Nico discovers a security breach, and T.K. gets robbed, which prompts Matt to square-off with T.K.'s agent. Yeah, that sounds like a whole lot of "Double Faulting" to me.
SEASON 1 FINALE, 10pm, ABC
NY Med
In the first (and what could be the last) season finale of NY Med, risks are taken and doctors acknowledge the strains of hospital life: A husband and wife surgical duo must try to balance their work and life relationship, a cardiac surgeon admits that a career in medicine is less predictable than most people think, a 13 year-old with Crohn's disease may opt to undergo a brand new surgical option, and a mother goes under for one of the riskiest cancer operations out there—ex vivo—in order to remove the disease from her abdomen. This finale will be nothing short of intense.
